(Keep Feeling) Fascination. Looking, learning,...
Fascination is the most powerful way to influence decision-making. It’s more persuasive than marketing, advertising, or any other form of communication. And it all starts with seven universal triggers of fascination: power, lust, mystique, alarm, prestige, vice, and trust. - Sally Hogshead
It’s amazing how taking a simple test can draw out things that you might already see in yourself...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! HAPPY 2010!!!!
The passing of another year, the turn of another decade, and the best part of it all - I woke up this morning with an overall good feeling, a sense of hope and promise. Despite the hardships I’ve faced this past year, I feel lucky to live what I feel is a pretty “charmed” life. The different events of 2009 have led me here, and in 2010, I have...

I think I'll try "Defying Gravity"...and be...
So I’m sitting at my computer at about 4:00 a.m. Just came back from a night out at Eclipse (as well as a 4th meal at Waffle House) with Amy, Gil, Russel, Whitney, Erin, Tiffany, Ronny and Michelle. Good times with good friends, and as I come down from the night’s festivities and prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family, I can once again look back on the past year and revel in...
Nothing wrong with a little nostalgia...
So far away, I wish you were here Before it’s too late, it could all disappear…
Ran into this old video online courtesy of my boy Jonny Roobs, and just thinking how crazy it is that time flies by so quickly. Just five years ago, Varick and I were at the top of our game being co-owners of the Tsinilas Clothing Company brand and traveling hundreds and thousands of miles to peddle our...

Somewhere after the second movie in the Scary Movie franchise, the Wayans Brothers jumped ship and the series went downhill. Don’t even try to mention Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, or Meet the Spartans - just horrible. Now it seems that the brothers are back, and I kind of want to see this. For fans of dance movies everywhere (Save the Last Dance, You Got Served, Flashdance)…

I thought that Lily Allen’s version was good, but this was GENIUS! Accordions and bottles, oh my!
Amazing…and haunting at the same time (I think it’s the masks, heh!). But pretty cool video!

Blast from the Fast-Food Past...
Wow. If I hadn’t seen it on Late Night with Conan O’Brien tonight, I would never have realized it, but Seth Green was the Cha-Ching guy from the old Rally’s commercial. Interesting…even moreso because those Cha-Ching commercials did play a part in my massive consumption of Rally’s food back in the day…

"Tomorrow"
To be a part of history…
There are few once-in-a-lifetime moments, times that you can look back on and say, “I was there,” and where you exactly remember where you were and what you were doing. For me, these times include the Challenger disaster of 1986, the September 11th attacks, and now November 4th, 2008 - the election of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United...

So as I was saying about Atlanta...about a month...
So it’s been forever and a day since I have blogged. And quite a bit has happened. We didn’t thwump the Bills and after more battles against the Colts, Texans and Steelers, now my beloved Jags sit 3-3. We are playing the Browns this week, so hopefully, we can make something happen. Other things that happened include seeing Barack Obama speak live and in living color, an awesome poster...

Back in the ATL - PJ's Wedding, Day 1 (cont.)
Hmmm…so where was I? Oh yeah, the Improv Group! After we finished with that show, we met up with Varick and Nille and went out to eat at the legendary Gladys Knight’s Chicken N Waffles. Ah, the taste of the Midnight Train - Chicken Wings and Waffles (and a side of grits), all in the presence of Gnarls Barkley’s very own Cee-Lo and John Legend. Well, actually, it was their...
Back in the ATL - PJ's Wedding, Day 1
(The TSA Puffer Device at JIA…or something similar…)
So I’m in Atlanta for my friend PJ’s wedding. We’re all still getting ready, so I figure I’ll just give a little recap so far. Day one was pretty interesting…
The airplane journey here was interesting to begin with. In Jax, things kicked off with my first-ever “extensive profile search”. I...
I think Matt's on the money with this one
So I was cruising the pages of good ol’ Perez Hilton, and I came across this video of Matt Damon talking about the possibility of a Palin administration should the Republican Party win the presidency and McCain not make it through his term. I really think he hit it on the money with this viewpoint, and voiced concerns that a good number of folks must have, albeit being a bit tongue-in-cheek...

Gil and Ken's B-Day Weekend begins...NOW!
It seems like forever and a day since I last blogged. Nothing too major has happened as of late, but this weekend should be pretty awesome. A bunch of us are going to Orlando tomorrow… er, today, to celebrate joint b-days - my friend Gil’s b-day (which was yesterday) and mine (upcoming on August 19) - at Islands of Adventure. Nothing like a good theme park to get the rest of the summer...

Hear the Thud Rumble...
Amazing… Simply amazing…
Thanks to the Thought and Theory blog from Dennis, I came across this tasty delight from the legendary Invisibl Skratch Piklz. That’s just plain crazy stuff going on - from three different DJs at the same time! This is turntablism at its finest; can someone tell me whatever happened to the true DJs?

One month in...
Not too shabby….
…so I made a return to Weight Watchers (albeit online) last month, and my weekly weigh-in was yesterday. Upon weighing myself, I found that I HAVE LOST 14 lbs! That’s just crazy – I went from 188 to 174, almost half of my ultimate goal. But I’m happy with it so far; it hasn’t been too hard this time around (I did Weight Watchers about two years ago)...
Thrust: The Movie - Official Trailer
It's true! "Thrust" finally comes to fruition!
Kudos to my boys Walter Boholst and Abe Spigner of Waltertainment! For the past few years, they have been living and working in LA, all while filming and shopping a feature film called Thrust: The Movie. Born out of footage shot when Walt was covering an import show called Hot Import Nights, it later became a DVD known as Thrust Video Candy. This time around, there is a central story to the...
…and all this time, I thought singing and “playing” Creep on RockBand was the most fun you could have. I do believe Weezer has taken it to an even higher level. This would be the ULTIMATE RockBand, heheh!
Cocktails & Creatives...and the return of one...
Wow…so it’s been a long while since I have posted any type of blog report. May was a pretty hectic month with everything that went on, and with June in full swing, it doesn’t seem to stop. I started tinkering with “summer hours” at work, and because of that I’m enjoying quite the day off and blogging a bit earlier than usual. 10-hour work days are no party,...
