Gil and Ken’s B-Day Weekend begins…NOW!
It seems like forever and a day since I last blogged. Nothing too major has happened as of late, but this weekend should be pretty awesome. A bunch of us are going to Orlando tomorrow… er, today, to celebrate joint b-days - my friend Gil’s b-day (which was yesterday) and mine (upcoming on August 19) - at Islands of Adventure. Nothing like a good theme park to get the rest of the summer going!
Tonight, though, we got things off with a bang - literally - as we cheered on our beloved Jacksonville Jaguars as they defeated the visiting Atlanta Falcons in a decent preseason battle at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Starting with some tailgating - food, friends, even a decent game of flipcup and beer pong going on – and then came the game. The Jags still are a work in progress, but they eked out a 20-17 win. It was a lot of fun, and a long time coming to kick off the 2008 NFL season. But we’re excited about it, and excited to be season ticket holders. Should be a lot of fun, and of course, I’m hoping to see my Jags go all the way to the big dance.
And now Orlando, here we come…
